Safety Instructions

BEFORE TOWING

ENSURE THE HANDBRAKE IS RELEASED & WORKS, ALL WHEEL NUTS IN PLACE AND TIGHT ON WHEELS, LIGHT BOARD INDICATORS ARE WORKING.

BEFORE LIFTING

  1. Ensure the lifting Eye/Post is not damaged or Bent.
  2. Always use the lifting point provided. Do not Under sling this pump.
  3. Do not use a fork Lift to lift – There is a Fuel Tank below the pump.
  4. Do not lift the pump whilst hoses are attached.

BEFORE STARTING

Please read these instructions. This is for your safety.

  1. This pump unit contains exposed moving parts and HOT surfaces.
  2. DO NOT OPERATE THIS PUMPS WITH THE DOORS OPEN.
  3. Do not use layflat hose on the suction side.
  4. Allow adequate ventilation around the pump. Be aware of items near he exhaust.
  5. Do not insert anything into the inlet of the pump.
  6. Complete the daily service checks. (on next page)
  7. Close the canopy doors, ensure Handbrake is engaged / wheels chocked
  8. This pump will Automatically Prime and fill the suction hose.
  9. Ensure the discharge hose is connected and it is safe to start.

Starting The Pump

  1. Ensure all the above checks have been done and you have read the safety instructions.
  2. Turn the Starter Key to the HEATER Position for 6 Seconds.
  3. This is the SECOND position as per picture
  4. Once the Starter Coil has heated up.
  5. Turn the Key to CRANK the engine.
  6. Once the engine has fired up, release the key to Position 1

RUNNING THE PUMP

  1. Look for any signs of leakage or excessive vibration.
  2. Do Not open the canopy doors whilst pump is in Operation.
  3. Do Not refuel whilst the pump is running.
  4. Do not insert anything into the suction port whilst pump is running.
  5. Ensure Suction Hose is fitted with Strainer and is always free from Debris or Blockages.
  6. Avoid pumping Large solids and Stringy material.

Stopping The Pump

  1. Turn the Ignition Key to the 0 (OFF) position.
  2. In Cold weather, Drain the volute to avoid Freezing.
  3. Secure and Lock Canopy doors when not in use.
  4. When stationery, ensure handbrake is on
